ELEVATE MUN

"Think Globally. Debate Fearlessly. Lead Beyond Borders."

📅 28th – 29th November 2026
🌐 Venue: Online Summit

Enter a world of diplomacy, research, negotiation and strategic decision-making. Represent nations, political parties and fictional stakeholders while developing the skills to debate complex issues, collaborate across perspectives and lead with confidence.

EXPLORE
Academic Simulation

What is Model United Nations?

A comprehensive simulation of international diplomacy, parliamentary procedure, and multi-lateral negotiation.

đŸ›ī¸

Portfolios & Representation

Model United Nations (MUN) is an authentic academic simulation where delegates represent sovereign nations, political parties, or key historic/fictional stakeholders. Delegates step into the shoes of ambassadors, setting aside personal viewpoints to defend their assigned country's official policy and strategic geopolitical interests.

📚

The Foundation of Research

Rigorous research forms the bedrock of every successful delegate. Before the summit, delegates study committee background guides, past UN resolutions, treaties, international law, and socio-economic data to construct compelling position papers and evidence-based policy arguments.

đŸŽ™ī¸

Opening Speeches & Formal Debate

Committees commence with formal General Speakers List (GSL) statements where delegates articulate their nation’s foreign policy stance. Guided by formal Rules of Procedure, delegates practise oratorical clarity, rhetorical poise, and strategic framing within strict time limits.

âš–ī¸

Points, Motions & Caucuses

Debate flows through procedural motions and points (Point of Personal Privilege, Point of Order, Point of Parliamentary Inquiry). Structured discussion alternates between Moderated Caucuses (timed speeches on focused sub-topics) and Unmoderated Caucuses (informal lobbying and face-to-face negotiations).

🤝

Bloc Formation & Resolutions

During unmoderated caucuses, delegates form international voting blocs based on shared regional, ideological, or economic interests. Blocs collaborate to draft comprehensive working papers and Draft Resolutions, featuring preambulatory justifications and actionable operative clauses.

📜

Amendments, Voting & Consensus

Proposed draft resolutions undergo rigorous committee scrutiny. Friendly and unfriendly amendments are introduced, debated, and voted upon. Committees conclude with formal voting procedure where delegates exercise procedural and substantive votes to achieve international consensus.

Note on Committee Procedures: While the fundamental principles of diplomacy remain universal, specific procedural rules, motion thresholds, and caucus mechanics may vary depending on the simulation (e.g., standard UN4MUN, UNA-USA, Indian Parliamentary procedure for AIPPM, or specialised crisis mechanics for the Ministry of Magic).
